Ocean Tours Watersports, formerly Scuba, Scuba , based in El Cozumeleno Resort and owned by Jose & Laura de la Fuente has been meeting the needs of visitors to Cozumel for more than 13 years. OCEAN TOURS is a family owned business whose experience spans over 2 generations of the De La Fuente family. José and Laura De La Fuente started in 1986 as PADI DM’s here in Cozumel, and after several years of hard work opened up their first dive business called Scuba Scuba, with one dive boat & 12 tanks. With a little elbow grease, lots of hard work, and quality service the business flourished into a full service Water Sports facility with 9 boats, wave runners, snorkel tours, deep sea fishing, parasailing and of course certified scuba trips, and scuba certifications. Along with his brother Jorge and long time family friend Gabriel Nayar, José & Laura also expanded to specialize the business and together created Scuba Du, widely and repeatedly recognized as one of the top Dive Operators in Cozumel (Rodale’s Scubadiving June1999, PADI Sportdiver).

The family is hands-on and has hand built two of the boats currently in the fleet of custom boats used to dive, fish and snorkel. This is a for divers/fishermen, by divers/fishermen operation, and you can expect to be treated like family aboard our Ocean Tours/Scuba Du boats, where safety always comes first, and service & fun a close second. Our professional and honest business practices have lead us to enjoy a tremendous return client base, who year after year come back with us, and are constantly recommending us to family and friends. We cherish our return clients, and always try our best to make each experience better than the last. When booking with the De La Fuente family, you can expect serious and professional service, in a friendly and enjoyable manner. We would not be based inside two of Cozumel’s best and most established Hotels for 8 and 12 years (El Cozumeleño & El Presidente), as the In-house Water Sports/Dive Facility, if we didn’t take excellent care of our clients. Many years of experience and safe, reliable services are what backs up our stand-up performance.
